SPRING 2013

Spring is a great time to get your sprinkler system in good shape before the heat arrives here in Central Florida.

It's wise to go through your system at least bi-annually and make sure the lawn is getting completely covered by the sprinklers and the timer is set correctly as well. We don't want any dry spots on your lawn, so it's a good time to make sure that your lawn is getting the proper irrigation it needs. Please call us now if you would like us to perform a thorough sprinkler check!

Weeds are very active in the spring. It's a good idea to apply weed and feed to your lawn before the summer rains come. Proper fertilization of your lawn in the spring is vital because this feeding replenishes the reserves used during the dormant winter period.

The essentials of good lawn care practices are watering, fertilizing and proper mowing. Our year-round lawn care keeps a lawn healthy and helps prevent weeds, disease, and pests.

In some cases however, there is an underlying problem such as bare spots or damaged turf which require additional measures. We can address these issues for you and provide a proper solution.

Spring is also the best time to treat lawns with pre-emergents. If you have a widespread weed infestation, it's best to apply a pre-emergent herbicide to your lawn before the seeds germinate in the spring. We also offer special treatment plans for preventing grassy weeds like crabgrass. We have a team of professionals that can come and analyze your specific lawn and treat it accordingly.

Our spring clean-ups provide proper maintenance of landscaping beds which can also prevent weeds.
Fertilization granules should be added to your trees, palm trees, bushes, and shrubs in the spring and fall.

Seasonal plants are very popular and a wonderful addition to your yard beds. We can provide plants and flowers for you that will add color to your landscape and beautify your yard.

Decorative mulch and rock always adds a nice fresh look to your beds. Let us install a new bed or refresh your existing beds and begin the new season with a fresh new landscaped look that will enhance the curb appeal of your home.

Fertilizing your lawn in the fall will provide an extra boost of nutrients that will be stored and used during the winter months. Roots actually continue to grow underground throughout the winter and they rely on the stored food until spring.
